Cooling Down With An Iced Tea - Recipe Included!
As I've said before in my Bluebird Tea post, I'm definitely a bit of a tea-Jenny. In winter, there's nothing better than a cup of builders' to warm you from the inside out. But in summer? I'm all about iced tea.
Now there are certain coffee chains which sell a peach iced tea that I kinda love, kinda hate. Love the taste, haaaaaaaate how much sugar is in there. So I've been searching around for ways to get the same taste for myself, whilst cutting out as much of the syrup as possible (and saving myself a fortune too!)
One of Glasgow's recent most exciting store openings has been T2, the Australian tea brand bringing new and innovative tea blends to us tea fiends (take a shot every time I say 'tea', right?!) I was lucky enough to be invited along for a 'tea masterclass', trying out the different blends and learning more about the shop. There was also a tea fountain...yup a tea fountain...catch the Boomerang on my Instagram! Of course as soon as I saw the 'Packs A Peach' blend I knew I had to have it. And guess what? It tastes exactly the same - if not better- than the high street alternative! Win-Win!
Here's how to make the perfect peach iced tea at home:
Simply add a few teaspoons of loose leaf tea to ... and brew for around 5 minutes, leaving for a longer or shorter time depending on how strong you like it. If you like a slightly sweeter tea, now is the time to add a little teaspoon of sugar! Once brewed, pour the tea over ice to chill.
Et voila! It couldn't be more simple or delicious. I'm so happy to have found this at the start of summer. It will definitely keep my waistline (and my purse) a little healthier.
Huge thanks to the lovely folks of T2 for having me over. I'm a homemade convert!
