The Ritual Of...Relaxation

The Ritual Of...Relaxation

It can become so easy to be stuck in a rut when it comes to body and skincare. For me, it always seems to come back to Clarins. Their bath and body products have been my favourites since first trying them years ago. But it's been time to try something new for a while now.

I've always loved the look and sound of Rituals. The brand is something different, something colourful and vibrant, and when I saw the products display in my local House of Fraser I knew I had to give it a try. The stand looked more like a spa than a shop, with sinks and towels to encourage trying the products, a helpful assistant and an overall calming look encouraging a relaxed and uplifting atmosphere. I loved it.

The ritual of Ayurveda is made to restore inner harmony through the cleansing of body and soul. The scent is of Indian rose and almond oil, which at first I thought would be too strong and overpowering on the skin. Once the scent settles, though, it is a refreshing and relaxing background, not overpowering at all.

I purchased the Shower Oil and Body Cream from the range. After a cold December (and my love of hot showers), my skin was beginning to feel tight and dry. The shower oil is the perfect remedy to this, as although it doesn't create much lather, which I would like, it leaves the body feeling nourished and moisturised. The body cream feels light, and is quickly absorbed into the skin. Normally, I find that body butters take ages to settle, but the Rituals cream sinks in perfectly. I had my jeans on ten minutes later!

I loved my experience with Rituals, and can't wait to try more of the products!

Have you entered my competition? It's still open! Check it out here.
