Christmas Crafts at Paperchase
Let's just get one thing straight. I love stationary. I also love Christmas, crafts, decorating and fun times. So when Paperchase invited me to try their Christmas crafts I was all over it.
After an introductory chat with the girls in the shop (Louisa was lovely, and super helpful), our little group was given some trees to decorate. The range of tree decorations in Paperchase this year is phenomenal, catering for those who love minimal and chic to those who usually just fling every colour on the tree and hope it looks good (me). I went for a travel theme for mine, and luckily there were a ton of Mexico inspired decorations. I loved it! Everything I chose was super colourful, and featured cacti, flamingoe's, sombrero's and maraca's. If you fancy some of these for yourself, they were all 3 for 2!
Obviously, I was going to choose the most colourful tree I could, hence the multi coloured practically summery Christmas tree. Year round festivities.
Once our tree's were decorated (and had some drinks and nibbles), it was time to try some paper crafts. I'll admit now that I'm not the best at arts and crafts. Don't get me wrong, I love to try, I'm just a bit clumsy. The girl showing us what to do made it super easy, and had me trying lino printing and die cutting. Having never done either before I wasn't expecting much from myself, but I was so impressed! Each thing we tried was lovely, easy and unusual. In the 45 minutes we had, I made some cute little gift tags which I'll definitely be using for my Christmas pressies!
If you'd like to try any of the amazing craft classes offered throughout December, I'd get in there quick. You can book in store, and most classes are super cheap. The most expensive one is £20, and lasts 2 hours. During that class you get to make a poinsettia paper wreath. Perfect for those looking for something to use year after year! If you aren't into big nights out drinking, these classes can also be booked for groups of friends. Perfect!
