Liberty London Big Night In Beauty Kit
Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a sucker for any goody bag, gift set or gift with purchase. I absolutely love trying new products, and a curated selection from an amazing retailer is the perfect way to get my fix.
Thanks to living the furlough life for most of 2020 (and all of 2021 so far - anyone else in the same boat??), I’ve been trying not to spend quite so much. But when Liberty brought out their Big Night In Beauty Kit I couldn’t resist. Valued at £239 and priced at only £65, the kit includes 9 lovely products designed to be used for a chilled night at home.
Frank Body Express-o Coffee Scrub
In all honesty, Frank Body products are the ones I’ve always given away. I just never liked the thought of a messy coffee scrub. How wrong was I?? Yes it’s messy, but it left my skin feeling so soft and smooth in just one use. Raw sugar granules dissolve whilst using, meaning the scrub is gentle on skin whilst still getting the job done, and vitamins A, E and D left my skin feeling nourished and moisturised. Shaving my legs was a lot easier too! It’s safe to say I won’t be giving away any more Frank Body Products.
Skandinavisk Lempi Mini Scented Candle
I decided this year that I was going to give candle making a go. I didn’t realise how hard it would be at all. Now, every time I come across a new candle I’m obsessed with finding out how they came up with the scent, the design, the name, the container. Skandinavisk is a totally new brand to me, and I’m already obsessed. The Lempi candle has notes of rose, strawberries, garden peony and oak moss. It smells super fresh and light, yet fills the whole room. I love that the company is cruelty free, sustainable and vegan too. This will definitely be a company I repurchase from.
Aromatherapy Associates Hydrosol Sheet Mask
This one feels faaaaaancy. I’m a little scared that the essential oils will make my skin react, but I'm more than willing to give it a shot for the promise of brightening and tightening. A good shot of hyaluronic acid seals the deal. I won’t lie, I am kind of hoping that my newly developed fine lines will take a hike after a good sheet mask soaking. The Beauty Kit is the perfect way to try this mask, as the set of 4 retails at £52, and is sold out on Liberty at the moment (which makes me think they are worth the money).
Votary Cleansing Oil Rose Geranium & Grapefruit
I love Votary products so much, yet somehow have never tried the Cleansing Oil. This was an absolutely gorgeous set, which came in a box with a cotton face cloth, and would make a lovely gift if I wasn’t too selfish to keep it myself. The fancy glass bottle makes it feel like a real treat too. I haven’t tried it yet, but oil cleansers are my favourite first cleanse to break down makeup in the evening. It’s full of essential oils, so not ideal for those with sensitive skin, but as a wash off treatment it’s one I’m more than happy to use on my face!
Kalmar Love I Am Loved Body Cream
One of my favourite self care rituals is a long soak in the bath (with a good book) and then slathering myself in body lotion afterwards. It’s the only skincare habit I’ve stuck to since I was a teenager. I’m always on the lookout for a new body cream/lotion/potion, so was very excited to receive one I had never heard of before. Again, it is an expensive £45 for just 200ml, another reason this set is so worth the money. The description says it’s fragrance led, so probably not one for those with sensitive skin, and there isn’t a lot of information besides the scent, so this is one I’ll definitely have to report back on.
FAACE Sweaty Face Mask
A brand I have never heard of in my life, the Sweaty Faace mask sounds like the ideal product to take away on hot holidays. Detoxifying and anti-inflammatory, I think it will be ideal for stopping clogged pores causing acne problems. I’ll be saving this one for when I get back to the gym, and if I ever get away again it will be going straight in my luggage!
OTO CBD Hand Balm
I can’t imagine there’s anyone out there right now who isn’t packing on hand cream like it’s going out of fashion. my hands have never been so clean (or dry), and I’ve put some serious research into what works for me and what doesn’t. The OTO CBD Hand Balm is an eye watering £29, but for that you do get 75ml of botanical goodness. I’ve never really bought into the whole CBD thing, but I’m looking forward to giving this a go. The packaging is cute and it smells lovely - it just needs to be super moisturising now!
Noble Isle Tea Rose Bath & Shower Gel
At 75ml, this is on the smaller side for a shower gel, but it’s a fab way to try the brand and great for holidays (if we ever get to go on holiday again). It’s scent is described as black tea, fresh rose petals and green leaves. Strangely enough, I get a really strong whiff of honey from it. I love Noble Isle products, and am so excited to try this!
Liberty Dreams of Summer Print Wash Bag
What would a Liberty kit be without something in a lovely Liberty print? The wash bag is a lovely quality, stands up on its own and has a small zip compartment on the inside. Despite having more wash bags than I know what to do with, this one I just won’t be giving up.
I can’t believe I’ve never tried one of the Liberty Beauty Kits before. The value for money is insane, and it’s perfect for those looking to try new products without spending all the cash. The Five Minutes Peace kit is out next - and who doesn’t need five minutes to themselves just now?? For the same price, this includes the same amount of quality products (including a Molecule perfume!) and looks absolutely beautiful. I’m going to try my hardest not to buy it, but who knows? You can sign up to hear when it launches here.
