Spring Scents with Molton Brown

Spring Scents with Molton Brown

One of my favourite things about Winter changing into Spring (kinda...I mean it snowed the other day but...) is that I go from wanting to wear super warm and cosy scents into something a little fresher and cleaner. Molton Brown is one of my top places to go to find a new shower scent, and this year I went back to an old favourite.

The Rosa Absolute collection is an absolute must for spring and summer, and the Molton Brown scent that I go back to again and again. The brand goes all out when describing each fragrance. I mean there are videos, photoshoots, back stories; you name it. For the Rosa Absolute range the theme is 'London via Lombardia', and has a story revolving around a Contessa escaping her palazzo. The film is beautiful, and definitely worth a watch. Check it out here! The description for the fragrance is;

"A private dressing chamber, draped indeepest ruby velvet. Hushed, dark whispersunmasked sub rosa. The theatre of nightfall,a promise full of mystery. Devote your sensesto an intoxicating secret.

Voluptuous. Dramatic. Impassioned."

The top notes are raspberry and blackcurrant, heart note is rose absolute (obvs), and base note is patchouli. I have to say, for me it's the raspberry and blackcurrant top notes that make this scent for me. It takes the typical rose scent a little deeper, a little darker and a little more edgy. I use the Bath & Shower Gel and Body Lotion, and the tiniest bit goes the longest way. The scent sticks around on the skin for absolutely ages too! Also, I had a cheeky little try of the Eau de Toilette in store and it's just as mouthwatering. Might have to buy that...

Whilst I was in store I decided to treat myself to one of the hand cream sets (push the boat out eh!) and picked up the Spring Signatures Hand Cream Gift Set. The set includes Orange & Bergamot, Dewy Lily of the Valley & Star Anise, and Delicious Rhubarb and Rose. I'm not sure if I maybe just have a thing for rose scents, but the Rhubarb and Rose was a fast winner for me, and a scent I definitely have to try in the shower soon. It's fruity and sweet and makes my mouth water. The hand creams in general are a lovely consistency, and sink in really quickly leaving a lovely smell behind. I'm using them up waaaaay too fast, and will definitely have to repurchase! This set is limited edition, so get in there fast if you want to give it a try.

Oh! And one of the best things about Molton Brown?? Gift with purchase! When you spend over £40 or over £70 you receive a bunch of free travel size samples with your order. What better way to try some new scents?
