There are so many potential places to go on vacation that it’s hard to pick just one. So we’ve taken the time to narrow down our favorites based on a variety of different factors.

Most important of all, we picked the places we’re about to share because we think they’re fun, exciting, and loaded with historical significance. So if you’re looking to get away from it all and visit some of the best places the United States has to offer, we highly recommend checking out each and every one of the vacation destinations we’re about to mention to you today.

1. Oahu, Hawaii

It should come as no major surprise to anyone that Oahu made the cut. This is one of the most gorgeous places on earth and it combines breathtaking scenery and multicultural luxury more than all of the other Hawaiian Islands combined. The state capital is located in Honolulu, and this place has serious urban appeal.

There’s more to Oahu than lounging out on the beach all day drinking Mai Tai’s while you soak up the sun, although that is certainly an excellent option for those looking to get away from life for a while. But there are also some historical and cultural sites to visit in the area, like the ‘lolani Palace and the USS Arizona Memorial.

If you want to visit rural Hawaii in all of its glory, we highly recommend spending time on the North Shore. There are beautiful hiking trails, insane and intensely gorgeous blue water like you’ve never seen before, and the white sandy beaches and astounding skyline is something that you’ll never want to leave after seeing it for the first time.

While vacationing here, you can take part in many wonderful cultural events; have a great time living it up and enjoying the wild nightlife, while also eating great tasting, delectable meals at some of the classiest, high-end restaurants in the world. You’ll be glad you took our advice and visited Oahu the next time you have a vacation coming up because it’s a trip you’ll never forget. 2. Ocean City, Maryland

For some reason, vacationers have a tendency to overlook this fun filled, exciting vacation destination located in the heart of Maryland. But whether you realize it or not, there’s plenty to see and do when visiting OC.

For starters, let’s never forget about the beautiful beaches. This pristine 10 mile stretch of beach is perfect for sunbathing, swimming, fishing, and so much more right along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. If you happen to like surfing, then you’re definitely going to love Ocean City because they’ve sectioned off an area strictly for surfers! So you have access to your own private section of the beach.

3. San Francisco, California

Last but not least we have San Francisco, California. If you’re a free-spirited type, then you’re going to love this place because they have creative and imaginative cuisine, plenty of adventure, and even edgy art for all to enjoy.

This is a wonderful multicultural city. Its diversity is one of its biggest draws. There’s a wonderful nightlife, plenty of cozy cafés, and the cuisine is second to none. You’ll love San Francisco more than life itself, so do not hesitate to visit soon.
