By Terry Baume De Rose

By Terry Baume De Rose

I've never really been one to follow big beauty hypes. The By Terry Baume De Rose falls slap bang into the middle of this category, in that everyone has it. Honestly, that's usually enough to put me off. But for once, I was intrigued.

Let me just say that I am a massive lip balm person. I'm not into glosses, and only occasionally wear lipsticks. But thanks to my super-dry lip situation, there's a lip balm in every handbag and pocket I own. I'm rarely seen without one. That being said, I couldn't really fathom why the Baume De Rose would be so different from any normal lip balm that I could get for a fraction of the cost. But when the hype died down and it seemed like everyone was still buying the stuff three years later, I finally caved and decided to give it a try.

I had a discount for Space NK and couldn't see anything else that I fancied. That's my only reason for actually buying a £39 lip balm. Even with the discount the price made my eyes water. But the minute I slathered my lips in the stuff, I knew it would be a repeat purchase. Like I said before, my lips tend to be really dry, and especially in the winter tend to crack. Well, the Baume De Rose solved that problem within a day. I'm officially a convert.

I like the rose scent, and the texture of the balm is very smooth, almost gel like. It really settles into the lips, and I could feel it soothing the chapped parts immediately. It lasts well too, I only had to reapply a few times throughout the day.

All in all? Definitely worth the money...a great Christmas list item!

Have you tried Baume De Rose? What did you think?
