Easter Fun from Bluebird Tea Co.

Easter Fun from Bluebird Tea Co.

I'm a sucker for a subscription box. I've tried them all, from Glossybox to My Little Box, to Not Another Bill. And I've loved them all, but eventually moved to greener pastures. I mean let's face it, there's only so much makeup/skincare products a girl can hoard. There's literally a drawer in my room chock full of samples and products to get around to that I can't even deal with it.

But when I found out about the Bluebird Tea Co. and the fact that there was an actual TEA SUBSCRIPTION BOX!! I was all over that straight away. With bells on. I mean I'm British, I have tea running through my veins. Cut me and watch the English Breakfast just pour out.

I've always been a little bit boring with the tea I go for. If it isn't a good old cup of builders I'm usually not interested. But now that I'm trying to avoid milk, I've been looking for some different options. And that's where my lovely new subscription box comes in.

I opted for the Tea Club Subscription, which means that each month I receive 3 20g packs of different loose leaf teas. Other options were the Decaf Tea Club, the Matcha Subscription, the Tea Bag Subscription and the Loose Tea Subscription. I wanted all the options though! My first box arrived with an Easter theme. A lovely handwritten note was enclosed (who has time for handwritten notes anymore? Such a lovely touch!), welcoming me to the subscription, and telling me about my three teas for the month. I also received a cute silver measuring spoon, and 5 disposable one use tea bags which are perfect for novice tea lovers. For only £9.95 a month, this seems like such a bargain!

The 3 teas I received were Carrot Cake, Hot Cross Bun and Chinese Treasures. The Carrot Cake and Hot Cross Bun were winners straight away. I flippin' love hot cross buns. Shouldn't they be available all year long?? And I may not be a huge fan of the cake version of carrot cake, but the tea version is delicious! The Brighton based company comes up with some absolutely amazing blends, and thanks to my subscription I've learned that loose leaf gives so much more flavour.

I didn't think I'd be so keen on the Chinese Treasures tea. When I opened the box, it was the most dominating scent. It smelled almost medicinal, which normally isn't something I go for. Then I woke up one morning, and it turns out that's the perfect morning flavour!

I can't recommend this subscription box enough (especially for foodies and tea lovers). I can't wait to see what arrives through my door next month!
